Auto Italia Canberra 2010 |

The best Italian motoring style on display in Canberra.
Auto Italia Canberra 2010 will be held on Sunday, 18 April 2010 on the Patrick White Lawns near the National Library of Australia between 10.00 am and 2.00 pm.
Club President Tony Hanrahan said; ‘This is a chance for any aficionado of Italian motoring to display their car, bike or scooter and share the passion they have for Italian motoring with other drivers.’ ‘Food and drink will be available on the day and this is a great opportunity to raise awareness of the simplicity and beauty of Italian motoring design through the past Century. ‘The names Maserati, Lamborghini, Ducatii, Ferrari, Alfa Romeo, Fiat, Vespa and so many others are testament to the contribution that has been made, and continues to be made to the world of motoring by Italian designers.’ Italian cars and bikes stir passion that extends from the daily world to that of Hollywood, having been driven by luminaries such as Gina Lollobrigida and Rita Hayworth while also featuring in the latest James Bond movie although in that case they were driven by the bad guys. ‘Auto Italia is a great day out, a chance to see some of the world’s finest cars, bikes and scooters on display; a chance to talk with the owners and share their passion for Italian motoring and Italian culture.’ Alfa Romeo will be the featured marque for Auto Italia Canberra 2010 to commemorate the centenary of ALFA.

FE FC Holden Nationals, Easter 2010 |
| |
The motoring spotlight will return to Orange next year when the 13th FE-FC Holden Nationals are held in the picturesque NSW country city during Easter 2010.
Organisers are aiming to attract more than 150 eligible cars to Orange between April 2-5 2010, surpassing the record 129 entered vehicles at Phillip Island in 1996.
Orange was selected not only because it has the facilities to handle the predicted 400 participants but also due to its long involvement with motor sport.
2010 marks the 50th anniversary of Australian Touring Car Racing, and in fact the inaugural race was held in February 1960 at Gnoo Blas in Orange.
Between 1953 and 1962, Orange boasted the race track rated the fastest in the country. The triangular Gnoo Blas circuit had a lap record of 105 miles per hour, set by Reg Hunt in a Maserati.
Australian legend Sir Jack Brabham also raced at the circuit. The three-times Formula One world champion has a park named after him where some of the 13th Nationals events will be staged.
As always the FE-FC Nationals are more than just a car show. A range of dinners and other activities have been planned, including the official super cruise on Easter Sunday 2010.
Members of eligible clubs – which includes the FE-FC Holden Car Clubs around the states – are entitled to enter. A number of officially invited clubs will also be eligible. Other club seeking registration are welcome to apply.
There are three categories for the event – stock, street and modified. Stock covers authentic, original or restored cars, Street are vehicles with mild modification or modernisation, and modified is for significantly changed or customised FE and FC Holdens.

This will be a special year for Macleans Bridge. It is to be the last year for this display at this venue
But we will not move until we’ve had a chance to say farewell to Macleans Bridge. And the chance is 9 May 2010. Mark it in your calendar. We aim to make this last Macleans Bridge a farewell to remember.
As well as the traditional trophies for individual cars we are introducing a Best Club/Marque Display Award (of a trophy and cash). This means that vehicles of a single club will be displayed together whether they are sports cars or sedans as a cohesive club group. The club can arrange vehicles in the provided area as they wish and as they decide best displays their marque and their club.
Only clubs that pre-register a group are eligible for this special award (trophy and cash to the winning club). What’s a Club Display? Whatever your club decides it is. It may be careful arrangement of display vehicles with a static display of the marque’s history, or a photographic arrangement to support the club vehicles, or a mechanical exhibition of some unusual historical technology. It may even be a ‘themed presentation’, where the club elects to present a core theme throughout the display (e.g. motor sport, road safety, or whatever).
Let’s all make the day a party to farewell Macleans Bridge. This year there will be a plated breakfast available. Make it Mum’s breakfast. There’ll also be activities to keep the kids amused, and a band to entertain those that tire of looking at tyres.
Registration will continue to be available at the gate for those unable to pre-register. |

The proud history of Brisbane motorsport will come alive on Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 May with a race of classic cars and motorcycles up Brisbane’s iconic Mount Coot-tha.
The Cootha Classic will see over 200 priceless historic cars and motorcycles both on display and competing in timed sprints, and showcase over 80 years of automotive racing technology.
Zooming back into Brisbane’s calendar of events for the second year running, the race is a re-creation of one of Queensland’s earliest recorded motorsport events which was held in the same location on Mount Coot-tha in 1916.
Admission is $20 per day for adults and $15 per day for concession. A weekend adult pass is available for $30. Tickets can be purchased upon entry.

Annual Show'N'Shine will be held at Mossfiel Reserve,

The show is open to all car clubs, and trophies will be awarded for

SunFest 2010 |

2010 will be SunFest's 34th year and is Sunbury's largest community event and is not complete without the annual Motor Show and Car Cruise. SunFest is an annual event held on the third weekend of March each year, with the annual Motor Show and Car Cruise being held on Sunday 21st March 2010. This is a much anticipated and colourful event which is a very popular and a special part of our festival, and allows the community to experience what it means to be a true motor enthusiast.
Involvement in the Motor Show and Car Cruise can either be as an entrant in the Motor Show only, or in the Motor Show and Car Cruise around the Macedon Ranges. Judging will be in 5 categories for both cars and motor cycles, with each category winning an exclusive trophy to be presented on the day.

Macleay Park, Balwyn, Vehicles enter 9am, Visitors 10am We expect over 200 French vehicles from Renault, Peugeot, Citreon, Simca, Delage, Panhard, Amilcar, De Dion-Bouton, Matra, Delahye, Bugatti and Velosolex biclycles. Cars range from Vintage and Veteran to Classic and Modern vehicles. French themed static displays and catering. |

Featured marques are Corvette, Ford Mustang and Dodge Coronet

Gates open for display vehicles from 9am & spectators at 10am. Show closes at 3pm.
Entry fee for display vehicles $15, spectators $15 per person. Children free.

The French Car Festival 2010 |

The French Car Festival this year will be
held on: Sunday the 11th of April 2010
at Macleay Park in Balwyn hosted by the Renault Car Club of Victoria
The French Car Festival is an annual event which showcases French made motor cars, with representation from their entire production history.
Make the most of this opportunity to display your french pride and joy and join us in celebrating.
The event has been running for nearly 30 years and has been an inspiration to both long standing French car enthusiasts and owners of the latest models. The show features some very rare examples and many beautifully restored and maintained cars, some of which have become icons in motoring history.
The Festival is open to all makes of French cars and commercial vehicles, they can be of any era and do not have to be registered, road legal or belong to a club member.

A weekend of non-stop racing featuring over 400 historic racing cars and motorbikes from the 1920s to the 1980s. Celebrations include 100 years of Alfa Romeo and the 60th year of the local A7 Club. Highlights are the ever-expanding Special Interest Car Park and Classic Car & Bike Club displays, and a group of ‘Depression Era Aussie Ferals', non-restored but still running and registered.
